Truck and Transport Technician

  • $39 - $44 / hour

 

We are looking for experienced licensed Heavy Duty Mechanics / Truck and Transport Mechanics who enjoy working on commercial trucks and are interested in furthering themselves through training and development.

The ideal candidate will have previous truck experience, enjoy working in a fast paced environment and who is capable of working independently while being accountable for their work. An aptitude for electrical diagnostics and/or engine repairs are an asset.

Requirements

Previous experience in the Medium / Heavy Duty truck or automotive industry.

High degree of product and technical knowledge.

Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.

Must be self motivated and have good written and verbal communication skills.

Must conduct his / her self in a professional manner.

Have the ability to work other shifts for coverage of sick days or vacation relief.

Have the ability to deal with large volumes of work and stressful situations.

Wanted

HET - Truck and Transport Mechanic License or equivalent (i.e Red Seal)

Class 3 Drivers License with Air or "Q" Endorsement

Commercial Vehicle Inspection (CVIP) license

Previous OEM dealership experience

Cummins Engine experience / certifications

Other engine experience or training

Full complement of tools

Ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Experience working on all makes of on highway commercial vehicles

Experience and familiarity with computers and computer software

CDK (ADP) accounting software experience.

Good organizational skills.

Working knowledge of International and supplier / vendors warranty policies
